Cushman Cemetery |
Cushman Cemetery is located on Route 135, not far from the Littleton town line. Burials date from about 1814 to present. The cemetery takes its name from the Cushman family, descendants of the Mayflower, who were early settlers here. There is also a brook named after them, and this area of town has sometimes been shown on maps as "Cushman". The Historical Society has photographed all gravestones in Cushman Cemetery, with the exceptions of the most recent ones. |
Gravestone of C. M. Cushman, Civil War veteran. |
